WHAT IS ISLA VERANO?

We believe children need exposure to different languages and cultures to gain an appreciation for the world around them. At ISLA Verano, your child will be immersed and transported in an exciting world where he or she will speak the language while learning about the cultures of different Latin American countries through our “Un Viaje de Aventuras” theme and combining fantasy, culture, stories and other fun activities.

WHO IS ISLA VERANO FOR?

  • ISLA Verano is an exciting opportunity for students in grades RISING Kindergarten through RISING 5th grade (2025-2026 school year) to learn Spanish through culture in a fun and interactive outdoor environment.
  • No prior exposure to the language is necessary! Whether your student attends a dual-language program or this is their first time ever being exposed to the language, they are welcome to attend ISLA Verano.

ISLA VERANO IS A COMPLETE OUTDOOR SUMMER CAMP

  • All activities are held outdoors at the reserved shelter and surrounding areas.
  • The ISLA Verano locations are surrounded by trees that create enough shade and breeze for students to stay cool throughout the day.
  • Plenty of water breaks are given
  • Physical activity is reduced if temperatures become too high.
  • Students head to the river everyday after lunch to splash and cool down! This is their favorite time of the day!
